Bari Brahmana police arrests 9 gamblers

SAMBA, May 30: Continuing its  relentless efforts against the menace of social evils, District Police Samba today arrested nine gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 1610 from them.
Acting on specific information received from District Special Branch(DSB) Samba about gambling, a police party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Ravinder Singh, SHO, Bari Brahmana under the close supervision of Ashok Sharma, SDPO, Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at Teli Basti area of Bari Brahmana and arrested nine gamblers.
The stake money of Rs. 1610 was recovered from the spot along with playing cards. The gamblers were identified as Nand Lal, S/o Mani Ram,  Narinder Kumar, S/o Jaman Lal,  Mukesh Kumar, S/o Goti Lal,  Suresh Kumar, S/o Ram Nath,  Parshotam Lehre, S/o Bharat Lehre,  Govind Ram, S/o Shail Kumar,  Vinod Lehre, S/o Govind Lehre,  Lok Nath, S/o Firtu Ram,  Salik Ram, S/o Dassu Ram all residents of Chattisgarh. They were putting up at Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana at present.
The Bari Brahmana police has booked all the gamblers under Section 13 of Gambling Act.
The raid was conducted on the directives of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
