Bangladesh flutists enthrall audience

SRINAGAR, Aug 26: A Bangla-Kashur musical flute concert “Awaz-e-Dost” was organized by J&K Civil Defence at University of Kashmir, last evening. Flutist from Bangladesh along with local artists performed to propagate cultural relations, brotherhood and communal harmony.
On this occasion, Director General of Police, K. Rajendra, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof. A. M. Shah, Additional Director General of Police Civil Defence, S M Sahai, Regional Director ICCR, Ayaz Rasool Nazki, DG Fire and Emergency, Dr G.A.Bhat, Senior Police and Civil Officers, Joint Director, Information, Kashmir, Shafkat Iqbal, Professors of University, NGOs, and a large number of Civil Defence Volunteers and students participated.
Earler, J&K Police band also presented a welcome tune which mesmerized the audience.
The Program was coordinated by SSP, Commandant Civil Defence RK Bhat and Shireen Trambu moderated the programme. The flutist from Bangladesh included Moniruz Zaman, Mrittunjay Kumar, Pass Nasihir, Shorabuddin, Ifteharul.
The local artists included Mayank Raina, Syed Muzamil Shah, Mohammed Shafi Shah, Bashir Ahmed Shah, Nadim. The groups together performed a Juggal Bandi, which was appreciated by the audience.
