185 students from Jammu’s top Schools participate in INTACH’s Quiz

JAMMU, Aug 26: The Jammu Chapter of INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) and Xpress Minds Edutainment today organized  the Jammu round of India’s largest ever quiz – the INTACH India Heritage Quiz 2014 at Jodhamal School here.
Spanning over 100 cities, from Leh to Mysore and from Daman to Darjeeling, INTACH India Heritage Quiz 2014′ is being conducting for school children aimed at celebrating the country’s legacy.
The Quiz series marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of INTACH.
It is an attempt to interact with student and teachers across India through a direct and awareness building activity. Over 17 quizmasters from Xpress Minds are conducting this series of quizzes- the largest ever conducted in India. Quiz competitions are being conducted at Port Blair, Kanyakumari, Rajkot, Aizwal and Leh among others.
Over 185 students from top 20 leading Schools of Jammu city including Jodhamal School, APS Kaluchak, KC Gurukul, APS Domana, Tiny Tots Higher Secondry School MHAC Nagbani, BSF Senior Sec. School, KC International , KC Public School, Air Force School, APS Nagrota, KV Bantalab, KC Gurukul, Cybernetics School, Heritage school, JP World, Banyan International, APS Rakhmuthi etc participated in the first round of this quiz which will become an annual series of events.
The Quiz was conducted by Quizmaster Mukund Marodia from 10 am to 12 pm. He conducted the quiz competition with a great finesse and kept the audience involved in the competition besides the participating students.
The winner of the Jammu city round moved to the Zonal finals which were held at the same venue immediately after the city round. The Zonal Final featured various rounds including progressive clues and visual stills to excite and tease the students.
Six teams from 185 students from 20 Schools reached zonal finals which included teams from APS Rakhmuthi, KC Public, BSF, Heritage and MHAC Nagbani. Out of the two teams of KC Public School which reached zonal finals, one of teams qualified for the national level INTACH quiz competition which will help in New Delhi next month.
The winning KC Public School team from the Zonal finals will travel to Delhi to participate in the National rounds which will be televised on national Television.
