JAMMU, Aug 26: BJP Sharnarthi Cell activists sitting on 24 hours hunger strike demanding resolution be passed in the ongoing session of the Legislative Assembly regarding the one time settlement/ rehabilitation of the 1947 PoJK refugees’ besides 10 point charter of demands ended their hunger strike with juice offered by State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul to Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, additional press secretary and Prabhari BJP Sharnarthi Cell Jammu and Kashmir, Vijay Sharma – Convener BJP Sharnarthi Cell, Bharat Sharma Co-Convener and office bearers of Satwari Block and several activists from refugee community today in the presence of State Cells Prabhari – Sat Sharma (C.A), Incharge Jammu – Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency – Yudvir Sethi and district president- Rajesh Gupta.
Shararthi cell activists were sitting on 24 hours hunger strike since yesterday at Satwari Chowk in protest against the ruling National Conference – Congress regime for not conceding the demands of PoJK refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971.
Ashok Kaul while sympathizing with the refugees, lambasted the NC led State Government for ignoring the respective demands of refugees who even after 66 years of partition, are denied of their legitimate fundamental rights while the State Government is more considerate to the terrorists from the neighboring State.
Pt. Ashok Khajuria on the occasion reiterated that fight for the rights of the PoJK refugee will continue until their demands are fulfilled.
