RAJOURI, Oct 7:  A bandh was observed  in the township of  Rajouri on the second consecutive day on the call given by Vishav Hindu Parishad, Sanatan Dharam Sabha and some other organizations.
While the District Administration has imposed Section 144 in the town prohibiting the people to take out any protest march/ demonstration, sensing outbreak of any communal tension,  the attempts of some youth to hold protest demonstration was foiled by additional police contingent deployed at several city points.
Many shops and business establishments remained closed on the second day in the town in protest against police and local administration. The members of these bodies are demanding release of arrested BJYM activist  and demanded fair investigation. The police said that issue was just minor over the parking and some people from BJYM, BJP and a few other bodies were trying to give it communal colour to foment trouble in the area for their vested interests.  He said that bandh was partial and many shops from other community were opened.
Meanwhle, during a meeting of various bodies held at Rajouri today senior BJP leader Kuldip Raj Gupta alleged that police was going by the one sided version and acting partially. He said that there was no any communal factor but Police projected it in that way which is very wrong and unfortunate. He demanded that police and district administration should investigate the matter impartially.
