Railway to run more festival special trains

JAMMU, Oct 7: To clear extra rush of rail passengers during festive season, Railway has decided to run  another special train between Jammu Tawi and Anand Vihar bi-weekly.
According to a handout, issued by the Northern Railway,  the 04053 Anand Vihar T- Jammu Tawi Bi- Weekly Express Puja Special Train will depart from Anand Vihar T on every Monday and Friday from Oct 11  to November 22 (13 trips) at 11.45 p m  to reach Jammu Tawi at 11.50 a.m  the next day. In the return direction, this Special train will depart from Jammu Tawi on every Tuesday and Saturday from October 12 to November 23 (13 trips) at 05.40 p m to reach Anand Vihar T at 05.45 a m the next day.
Comprising of sixteen General Class and two Second Class cum Luggage Van coaches, the 04053/04054 Anand Vihar T- Jammu Tawi- Anand Vihar T Bi- Weekly Express Puja Special train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt  and Chakki Bank stations enroute in both the directions.
In addition to this, Northern Railway has already announced to run 1382 trips of Festival Special trains across the country, including Anand Vihar – Jammu Tawi (tri-weekly), New Delhi – Udhampur (tri-weekly),  Udhampur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla- Udhampur (tri-weekly special express), Jammu Tawi- Ahmedabad- Jammu Tawi (weekly AC Express), Jammu Tawi- Pathankot- Jammu Tawi DEMU (five-days-a-week),  Sriganganagar-Jammu Tawi-Sriganganagar (weekly),  Allahabad- Udhampur- Allahabad (weekly express), Howrah- Jammu Tawi- Howrah (weekly superfast).
