Bail denied to youth involved in harassing girl

JAMMU, Feb 23: Judicial Magistrate 1st Class RS Pura rejected the bail application of a youth, who was involved in harassing and blackmailing a girl.
The bail application was moved by the parents of the arrested youth identified as Vickey Arora, son of Harjinder Pal Singh, a resident of West Bengal. He was arrested in a case registered under FIR Number 291/17 under Section 354-A, 354-D, 506 and 509 RPC and 67 IT Act with Police Station RS Pura.
Raghu Mehta, Luxmi Devi and Sonika Gupta Advocates appeared on the behalf of the applicant presented application and prayed for grant of bail in favour of accused Vickey Arora on the ground that police of Police Station RS Pura has involved the applicant in a false case. Sr PO Koshal Kotwal appeared for the state has submitted in his objections that as per the report submitted by SDPO RS Pura, the said accused involved was involved in the case registered under FIR Number 291/17.
The accused person came in contact with complainant in the year 2013 and represented himself as an Army Major and promised the complainant (a girl from RS Pura) that he will marry her. Thereafter the accused person demanded nude pictures and videos from the complainant. After getting the nude pictures and videos, the accused uploaded the same on facebook and WhatsApp after almost 4 years and also sent the said nude pictures and videos to the locals of RS Pura area.
The accused has harassed the complainant as well as her family members and also spoiled the image of the complainant. Sr PO Koshal Kotwal pleaded the case on the behalf of police.
On this fact, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Munsiff JMIC RS Pura after hearing the objections of the Sr PO rejected the bail of the accused Vickey Arora and he has been lodged in police custody.
The investigation of the case is going on.
