KARGIL, Feb 23: The State Government has ordered suspension of a Junior Engineer, who had been fraudulently working as AEE by impersonating himself as his namesake while SSP Kargil has constituted a SIT to investigate the case.
The accused, namely Abdul Aziz, Junior Engineer, son of Din Mohammad of Padum Zanskar was fraudulently by personating for his personal gain, had wrongfully joined as AEE in the office of Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil against the transfer and posting order of another Abdul Aziz son of Sayed Mohammad of Dhar Gloom, Mendhar, Poonch, who was actually transferred and posted as I/C AEE Sub Division Zanskar vide Govt order No 164-PW (Hyd) of 2017 dated 20/04/2017.
The case FIR under Sections 419, 420, 468,471,409,120B, 109 RPC was registered after District Police Kargil received a specific information in this regard. The said JE had not only illegally joined as AEE Sub Division Zanskar against the transfer and posting order of another Abdul Aziz but also retained his service book which was supposed to be in the custody of concerned department with the intention to tamper with the entries and add more in the service book wrongfully thereby to conceal the offence of impersonation and the forgery in the service book.
The JE was shown to have joined as AEE on 21/05/2017 as per their records. Moreover, no order of promotion to the next higher post of the said JE is available in the records of the office of Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil.
In this way the said JE after joining as AEE Sub Division Zanskar has illegally used the Govt Machinery pretending himself as actual AEE and prepared and signed many official documents including bills worth huge amounts in the capacity of AEE which he was not authorized as he is actually a Junior Engineer.
As soon as Police Station, Zanskar intimated District Police Kargil regarding registration of FIR against said JE, SSP Kargil Tsering Gyalpo constituted a SIT, headed by Arun Gupta, Additional SP Kargil for investigation.
It is pertinent to mention here that another FIR No. 13/2012 U/S 153A, 124 A RPC is already registered against the said JE in Police Station Zanskar on the written complaint made by Zanskar Buddhist Association, on 28/10/2012 in view of anti national slogan “Pakistan zindabad “at the premises of SDM office Zanskar in the year 2012. Charge sheet against the accused is pending before the Court of law as, the accused has been absconding from police since long.
