Ayodhya Land row

There have been allegations made by some opposition political parties in respect of purchase of land for the Temple in Ayodhya by the Ram Temple Trust. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have demanded a high level probe into the land purchase. While it all has been termed by the BJP as attempt to defame and derail the Temple construction, the Ram Mandir Trust claims that the land agreement had been made earlier and that the price of land has been paid less than even the average prevailing market price.
Trust further claims that there was complete transparency in the land transaction but the opposition parties feel not convinced and term it as a “big scam” and Surjewala of Congress has demanded that the Supreme Court should order an audit of the donations and funds received by the Temple Trust and the amount spent by the Trust so that the public came to know about it. Surjewala has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should answer the nation as it was a big scam. Whether the land was purchased at less or at a higher price by the Ram Mandir Trust, but the Prime Minister must explain is what Randeep Surjeewala of Congress has demanded.
However, Sultan Ansari who has made the registered agreement in the name of the Trust has categorically told that in purchase and sale of the land there is nothing suspicious . Ten years ago when the cost of the land was less , we had agreed for a consideration of Rs.2 crore but the prices having risen considerably, still payment has been made less than the prevailing market price for the said land.
