BJP leader meets Maharashtra Governor

JAMMU,Sept 13: Former Dy. Chief Minister & senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta was in Mumbai to attend various functions organized on the topic of abrogation of Article 370, 35A from J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said Article 370 was obstacle in the development of the State on all fronts and was the root cause of turmoil in the State due to rise of separatism and militancy.
He said during the NDA-1 Government at the Centre, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited the State several times and announced several development packages, but the same were not utilized due to negative approach of the PDP which was coalition partner in the State, Gupta said.
Gupta said the 90 percent of the funds given by Centre to the State were not utilized for the welfare of the people and development but gone down the drain over the years.
Citing a verse from the Bhagavad Geeta, Gupta described the Prime Minister as an “incarnation” for the annihilation of “sin”, as he had the guts to go to any extent for mother India.
Later, Gupta met Bhagat Singh Khoshyari, Governor of Maharashtra, at his residence. Gupta discussed several issues related to the tourism and scope of industrial development in J&K. Gupta also urged him to promote and extend his support for motivating the investors to come to Jammu and invest in manufacturing and other sectors.
Gupta briefed the Governor regarding the present situation of the Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. He said that the situation in Jammu & Kashmir is improving as the people have started their daily commercial and other activities. He said they have faith on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and have lauded him for provision of 8000 crores for the apple growers in J&K. He said people of Valley have understood that their future is safe and want to live happy life as after almost three decades of bloodshed; they have lost many lives due to the ideology of separatism.
Gupta also extended invitation to Governor Maharashtra to visit the State of Jammu & Kashmir as there is much potential of tourism in Jammu and Ladakh areas besides that, situation is improving in the Valley as well.
