JAMMU, Sept 15: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) has made elaborative arrangement for 16 day long “Pitripakash” (sharads) from September 19 to October 4 and 9 day long Navratra celebrations from October 5 to 13 at Haridwar.
This was stated by Pawan Shastri, president, JYBT during a press conference here today.
Keeping the religious belief and sanctity, the arrangements for Pindaan in honour of ones late ancestors and for getting their blessings for the peace and prosperity of their families as well as offering Bhoj (meals) to Brahmins and others is being made at Trust’s Haridwar Bhawan, he informed.
He added that the Pindaan and Brahmin bhoj will be performed under the guidance of highly competent religious scholars/priests.
In connection with Navratra celebrations, Chandi path and yagya will also be held in the Trust’s Bhawan premises in Haridwar, he said, adding that the Chandi path and yagya will be held to pray for peace and prosperity as well as for the welfare of the families of all the associates of trust in J&K and other parts of the country.
Those desirous to take part in 9 day long Chandi path and yagya should reach Haridwar on October 4, so that they can take full benefits of all the associated rituals and ceremonies. Devotees, who cannot remain present for the whole period can participate on the commencement and culmination of the Chandi yagya.
In connection with Navratra celebrations, Kalash Yatra will be held on October 5 with Mangalcharan, shanti path, kanjak poojan and arti.
