JAMMU, Mar 18: A joint meeting of the members of Purmandal-Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha and Langar Sewa Samiti Bari Brahmna was held under the chairmanship of Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust here today, in which prominent members of district Samba also participated.
The proper arrangements for the grand success of “Annual Chhari Mubarak Yatra” to Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines followed by 3-days fair to be organized on “Chaitra Chaturdashi” falling on April 4 onwards were discussed.
During the meeting, various decisions were taken including cleanliness drive at Devika (Gupt Ganga) Purmandal, around Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir and enroute. DC Samba will be requested to appoint a Nodal Officer to coordinate the concerned departments and other agencies to make the necessary arrangements enroute and at Purmandal during the 3-days programme to be organized from April 4 to 6 and CEO of Surinsar-Mansar Develop-ment Authority viz Tourism Department be requested to take necessary steps for public convenience.
In the meeting, it was also decided to request the PHE, Electricity and PWD Departments and Municipal Committee, Bari Brahmana for deputing their concerned officers for making the arrangements concerning to their departments, RTO, Traffic Police, security, law and order authorities be also requested to ensure proper security, transport and other arrangements for the pilgrims at Purmandal and enroute and proper publicity for the whole programme of the historical yatra.
Various others decisions were taken in the meeting including request to Rural Department to arrange exhibition of the local products at Purmandal during the 3-days fair where the lakh of yatries are expected to visit and Dharmarth Trust authorities be requested to make proper arrangements of Puja of Holy Chharies at Ranbireshwar Temple, Parade Ground, Shri Raghunath Mandir and Purmandal Shrines during these days.
In the meeting, Shiv Kumar Singh Jamwal, President, Shri Narsingh Dev Temple Committee Birpur took the responsibility of making all the arrangements concerning to them at Birpur and Purmandal during the yatra. Representa-tives of Muslim and Sikh Biradaries and other prominent persons assured proper reception of Yatra at Kharah Madana and Mandal on the day.
SC Rekhi, General Secretary of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust will convey the decisions taken in the meeting to all the concerned authorities.
Among others present were PS Gupta, Prof NK Dogra, Brig MS Jamwal, Col KS Jamwal, Kulbir Singh, SP Arora, Ved Verma, Kulbhushan Bali, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Satish Kumar, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Rinku Kumar, Ganesh Sharma, etc.
