CUJ organizes conference on ‘Education, Employment & Empowerment’

JAMMU, Mar 18: One day national conference was organized by Central University of Jammu in collaboration with National Working Group on Employment, New Delhi on the topic, “Education, Employment and Empowerment: Issues and Challenges”.
Prof Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida; who was chief guest on the occasion, talked about various skill opportunities for the youth of India and also deliberated on how the youth can become the job provider rather than the job seeker.
Prof Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor, Shri Vishwa Karma Skill University Haryana, inspired the gathering with his experiences and thought provoking ideas.
Amit Sharma, Special Secretary, Transport J&K, and Satish Kumar, National Working Group on Employment, New Delhi, also shared their valuable thoughts on generating employability skills among youth.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, CUJ, presented the presidential address by focusing on the initiatives taken by the Central University of Jammu towards skill and vocational education.
In the technical session of the conference, Ajay Bharti and Vikram Randhawa, Taranvir S Gujral (CEO, TV Super Filter Industries), Annil Suri (MD Tawi Arc Electrode Ltd) were present as the panelists of the session, which was chaired by Prof Raj Nehru.
The conference concluded with paper presentation by the students and scholars of the Central University of Jammu. Dr Vandana Sharma, Head, Department of English, presented the vote of thanks.
