Around 310 cases registered, over 430 persons arrested during ongoing lockdown

*407 vehicles seized, around 100 shops sealed for violation

JAMMU, Apr 8: Taking stringent action against the violators of the Government advisory pertaining to outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Jammu and Kashmir Police registered around 310 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arrested over 430 violators in the past fortnight.
Apart from this, around 406 vehicles were seized and around 98 shops were sealed during the ongoing lockdown period.
According to the reports, 70 FIRs were registered in different Police Stations of the Jammu District and 103 persons were put behind the bars for violating the probationary orders. Apart from this, 43 shops were sealed and around 200 vehicles were seized.
However in district Rajouri, 93 FIRs were registered against the violators in various Police Stations and 82 persons were arrested. Besides this, 55 vehicles were seized and 16 shops were sealed for violating the Government orders.
In District Poonch, 91 persons were arrested and 42 FIRs stands registered against the violators in different Police Stations. However, 80 vehicles were seized and 11 shops were sealed for violating DM’s order regarding lockdown.
Three FIRs were registered in District Doda and 5 persons were arrested while 5 vehicles were seized for violating the Government’s probationary orders, whereas in District Udhampur, 22 FIRs were registered, 38 violators were arrested, 7 shops and 1 brick kiln were sealed and 3 rehries were seized.
In District Reasi, 18 FIRs were registered during the ongoing lockdown period and 31 persons were arrested while 5 vehicles were seized, whereas in Ramban District, 45 violators were arrested, 20 FIRs were registered, 12 vehicles were seized and 3 shop was sealed.
Eleven persons were arrested for violating Government order in District Kishtwar and 5 FIRs were registered in various Police Stations, while 4 shops were sealed and 6 vehicles were sealed.
In District Kathua, around 12 FIRs were registered against the violators of ongoing lockdown, whereas in District Samba, 26 FIRs were registered in different police stations, 27 violators were arrested, 33 vehicles were seized and 14 shops were sealed.
