Arora Biradari recalls its contribution in nation building

JAMMU, July 13: Arora Biradari is celebrating its 17th mail (congregation) at Radha Krishan temple Panjtirthi here on August 4.
This was stated by Ramesh Arora, MLC at a press conference here, today. He said a Hawan and worship of Guga Devta is performed every year on this day.
He said the Arora Biradari has served and contributed a lot for national development and it was in the first line of soldiers. The Biradari can’t forget the sacrifices of Gen Jagjit Singh Arora hero of Bangladesh War and Kalpana Chawala who lost her life in the space.
He said the Biradari has innate relations with Sikh families and it is the main reason that the militancy could not sustain in Punjab.
While recalling the rich history of Arora Biradari, he said it was having its independent State in Sindh now in Punjab who was ruled by Maharaja Urat. This State was attacked by the Muslim warrior Mohammed Bin Qasim in which Raja Dahir was killed and Aroras started migration from there.
Later they were settled in J&K, Pathankot, Amritsar, Delhi , Abhor, Sirsa, Moga, part of Punjab, Fazilka, Hanuman Garh, Rajasthan, Chamba HP. In fact they spread all over India, he added.
Arora appealed his Biradari members to participate in the function on August 4 enmass.
