JAMMU, Apr 10: 10 JAK LI organized a voluntary blood donation camp on the eve of Balidanam Veer Lakshanam at PT Ground in Sunjuwan Military Station, Jammu.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu, Department of Blood Transf-usion, Government Medical College Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society.
More than 140 Jawans of JAK LI including Brig Ramit Mehta and Col Ajay Thakur donated blood during the camp. Brig Ramit Mehta appealed the Jawans to come forward and join this humanitarian cause by donating blood in future also.
The Red Cross team was headed by Vironica Marwah, Field Officer whereas Dr Ritika from Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu supported by other doctors and paramedical staff, was also present.
The camp was organized under the supervision of RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.
