POONCH, Nov 20: Indian Army’s local unit at Poonch organised `Jashn- e- Mehfil’ and a Mela at Sports Stadium, Poonch as a part of Poonch Linkup day celebrations.
A large number of people and some important dignitaries of the area from the Indian Army, Civil Administration besides students of various schools were present on the occasion.
A musical event and ‘Mushaira’ were organised as a part of Jashn-e-Mehfil during which, Kabul Bukhari- a renowned musician performed and many activities were organised during the Poonch Mela, which included a mesmerizing cultural programme, variety of games, equestrian and dog show, weapon display, artificial limb measurement and fitment camp.
It is pertinent to mention here that many such activities are being performed in different parts of Poonch for the last several days as a part of Poonch Linkup Day which falls on November 22.
