NMC demands hike in Medical Allowance

JAMMU, Nov 20: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri here today urged upon J&K Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to enhance Medical Allowance of J&K employees and pensioners from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 per month as the same has already been provided by the Central Government to its pensioners.
Addressing media persons, Shastri said that medical allowance is Rs. 300 from the last two decades and emphasized upon its increase for the welfare of employees and pensioners.
Other demands raised on this occasion were separate wage head for regular disbursement of monthly salary to daily rated workers till their regularization, enhancement of their wages to Rs. 600 per day, regularization of their services under SRO 64, setting up of Labour Welfare Board besides releasing of 18 months DA arrear installments both of Central and UT employees and pensioners.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Sahib Khajuria, Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh, Darshan Baba, Ghara Ram, Mohammad Sadiq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Tarsem Sharma, Ram Singh, J.P Sharma, Jeevan Sharma and others were also present in the meeting.
