JAMMU, Nov 20: Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) and Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) has decided to launch a protracted struggle for permanent rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Kashmir Valley in accordance to the geo-political aspirations of the community.
This was stated by Kashi Akhoon , NCR, New Delhi coordinator of GKPD in a statement here, today. He said the two organisations will forcefully impress upon the Government to declare the policy for the permanent rehabilitation and resettlement of displaced Pandits in Valley -their motherland.
He said 34 years is a long time and till date the successive governments failed to take any concrete step in this regard. However, expressing full faith and confidence in Narendra Modi Government and Home Minister, Amit Shah he said they have already taken various praise worthy steps on Kashmir and community is hopeful that the long pending demand of its rehabilitation in Valley will also be fulfilled on priority basis.
He said to chalk out the future strategy the GKPD and JKVM has decided to hold two days conclave at New Delhi on February 25 and 26 next year which will be attended by dignitaries from media, politics, law fraternity, social activists, film and industry etc. During the conclave the issue of genocide of KPs will also be discussed threadbare, he added.
He asked the community to be united and forcefully put the demand before the Government so that the issue of rehabilitation will be settled once for all in accordance to the geo-political aspirations of the community.
