Army jawan, another thrashed by villagers

MENDHAR, Oct 12: The villagers from Gursai nabbed an Army jawan and another person on the suspicion of braid choppers and handed them over to police after thrashing last night.
Official sources said that family members of Manzoor Hussain Shah and Karamat Hussain Shah, both residents of Gursai in Mendhar noticed three persons during mid night trying to untie their cattle. The villagers raised alarm and nabbed two persons while third managed to escape. They suspected them as braid choppers and thrashed them badly. Then they contacted Police and handed over to them. The police suspected that they were carrying villagers’ cattle for smuggling to Kashmir.
They have been identified as Sepoy Mustafa Ali of 15 JAKLI, resident of Dhar Galoon and Zaffar Iqbal, son of Daud Iqbal, resident of Dhar Galoon. The police has registered a case FIR No. 80/2017 against them. Mustafa had come home on leave from his unit.
