Srinagar, Apr 23: Army today conducted a painting competition at Army Goodwill School Balapore which was attended by scores of children.
A defence spokesman said the competition was conducted for primary, junior and senior categories with the themes of ‘Save Trees-Save Life’, ‘Kashmir – Paradise on Earth’ and ‘My Dream’.
“The event saw enthusiastic participation of the students who were seen giving shape and colour to their beautiful imagination. The principal AGS, Balapore, Rafiq Ahmed, local Army unit personnel, village elders and parents were unanimous in commending the immense talent that was on display and expressed confidence that such events will go a long way in helping the children in shaping their futures,” the spokesman said.
It will instill healthy competitive spirit in the children leading to their overall personality development, he said, adding that all participants including the winners in each category were suitably felicitated with prizes and certificates.
