Jammu: Army troops early morning on Wednesday foiled an infiltration bid and eliminated one terrorist along the Line of Control in Keri sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According Defence spokesperson, at around 0555 hours, a group of terrorists fired upon when they sneaked into the Indian Territory on this side of the Line of Control.
“Alert troops acted swiftly, retaliated to the fire and neutralised one terrorist,” he said adding that one Ak rifle with two magazines have been recovered.
“Searches are in progress in the areas,” he added.
Security forces have so far killed 128 terrorists this year including 48 in the month of June in different operation across Jammu and Kashmir. (Agencies)
