SRINAGAR, Dec 1: Army Public School (APS) Srinagar has received the National Best Academic Award along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 at Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Headquarter, Shankar Vihar New Delhi for attaining excellence and zenith in academic field.
The award and cash prize was received by Principal of APS Srinagar, Sandeep Marhatta from GOC-in- Chief Lieutenant General Sanjiv Chachra and his wife Anshul Chachra.
Applauding the Principal and the staff of APS Srinagar, AWES observed that attainment of the school in academic field were commendable. It is the first time that AWES has taken initiative of presenting the best academic maximum progress award trophy.
“It is certainly a moment of tremendous joy and jubilation for APS Srinagar to receive such an honour. The trophy infers that APS Srinagar has shown maximum progression in academics within a stipulated time period and as such deserves the recognition”, observed AWES.
The school management has congratulated the school fraternity for achieving this milestone by putting in ardent efforts in inculcating quality education to the students.
Chairman of the school, Brigadier KK Pant acknowledged that APS Srinagar achieved this milestone first time in 32 years.
Expressing satisfaction and joy over the winning of excellence award by APC Srinagar, Principal of the school gave its credit to the faculty for aggrandizement of the school.
