SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Senior vice president of Apni Party and former Cabinet Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir announced today that if the Apni Party forms the next government in Jammu and Kashmir, its primary focus will be on addressing youth unemployment.
Speaking at a workers’ meeting in Bechipora (Tangmarg), Mir emphasized that providing employment opportunities is crucial to steering the youth away from drug addiction and unlawful activities.
“Our first priority will be to provide employment to the unemployed youth in J&K,” Mir stated, stressing the need for job opportunities in both Government and private sectors. He pledged that the Apni Party would ensure all vacant positions are advertised and referred to recruitment agencies for transparent hiring.
Mir also highlighted the Party’s commitment to protecting the constitutional rights of the people of J&K. He noted that the Apni Party has consistently worked to safeguard job and land rights when other political parties remained silent.
“The people of J&K want an elected Government to replace the current administration so that their issues can be effectively addressed,” Mir asserted. He criticized the present government for its failure to meet public expectations, citing issues like development stagnation, unemployment, and a growing disconnect between the Government and the people.
Muntazir Mohiuddin, chief spokesperson of the party, echoed Mir’s concerns about the administration’s unresponsiveness and the lack of development. He assured that an elected Apni Party Government would prioritize public welfare schemes and promote sustainable development, especially in rural areas.
The meeting was attended by block president Abdul Rehman Lone, DDC Tangmarg Advocate Ishfaq Tajamul Mir, zonal president Abdul Majid Khanday, and other party members. Mir urged the party cadre to intensify their election campaign and public outreach efforts.
