JAMMU, Sept 10: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Anu Bali along with Naveen Bali, senior Congress leader here today started lane-drain and tiles work near Education Board, Rehari Colony in Ward Number 24, which shall be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 13 lakh.
The lanes and drains in the area were in dilapidated condition since long and the locals there were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Anu Bali appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
She urged upon his Ward residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
Councillor Anu Bali directed the concerned engineers and contractor to complete the work within stipulated time frame using best quality construction material.
She asked the locals to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
S. Bachan Singh, Rishav Phool, B.R Gupta, Shakti Gupta, Kailash Gupta, Poonam Gupta, Sunil, Balbir and others were also present on the occasion.
