SIT constituted to probe death of JU Prof

JAMMU, Sept 10: To probe death of the Jammu University Professor, who was found hanging in the JU Department of Psychology on September 7, Jammu Police has constituted a Special Investigating Team (SIT).
The SIT, under the supervision of SP South Mamta Sharma, comprises SDPO South City, Sachit Sharma as Incharge, SHO Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Inspector Pankaj Sharma, Incharge PP Nehru Market, Rohit Gandhi and ASI Ghulam Abbas Shah of PP Nehru Market.
“In connection with the probe of Inquest Proceedings initiated into the death of Chander Shekhar Chandra, Asstt Professor, Jammu University, vide DDR No. 15, dated 07-09-2022 by PP Nehru Market, a SIT is hereby constituted under the supervision of SP City, South Jammu,” read the order in this regard, issued by SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli.
