KISHTWAR, July 9: Three day long traditional Shri Ashtadash Bhuja Mata Sarthal Devi Ji Yatra began with great religious fervor and gaiety early today morning by organizing hawan at Gori Shankar Mandir, Sarkoot in which number of couples offered the Aahuti and Puran Aahuti.
Impressive Shoba Yatra accompanied Chari Mubarak was taken from Gori Shankar Mandir by Sanjeev Parihar, Vice Chairman, Shri Sarthal Devi Management Council.

Thousand of devotees including men, women and children were chanting religious slogans and bhajans. The locals of various localities accorded warm welcome to Chari Mubarak and served refreshment to the pilgrims.
Shoba Yatra culminated at Bus Stand Kishtwar from where the devotees boarded buses and other vehicles and left for the historic Sarthal Devi Temple. Tomorrow morning a Maha Yajna will be performed at Sarthal Devi Mandir.
District administration along with police had made all the necessary arrangements regarding security, drinking water, power supply, transport and other facilities at Sarthal and Kishtwar for the yatra.
The yatra being organized by Shri Sarthal Devi Ji Trust under the patronage of Dr Karan Singh, Sole Trustee and Vikarmaditya Singh Chairman Trustee of the Trust.
Besides hundreds of devotees, the yatra was accompanied by DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Kishtwar Shakti Kumar Pathak, ASP Kishtwar Nasir Ahmed, Ex MLA Sunil Sharma, President Sanatan Dharma Sabha Hans Raj Bhutyal and others.
