DHARMARI, Dec 13: The first Annual prize distribution function was organized at Government Degree College Dharmari with a lot of enthusiasm and gusto.
Naresh Kumar, SDM Thuroo, Dharmari was the chief guest while Dr Varinder Gupta, Officer Incharge PHC Dharmari and Sunit Singh, Tehsildar, Thuroo were the guest of honour and special guest respectively on the occasion.
The function started with welcome song by the cultural group of the college. It was followed by a book release titled “ Manthan” written by Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Principal of the College.
While reading the annual report of the college, Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Principal of the college, highlighted the achievements of the staff and the students of the college since inception. He also focused on various initiatives and projects to be undertaken in the coming year.
The students presented a variety of colourful cultural programme on the occasion. This colourful bonanza of cultural items enthralled the audience present in the college campus and everyone was all praise for them.
The chief guest congratulated the Principal of the college and his young team and students for their endeavours braving harsh weather conditions.
The programme was attended by the students, their students, staff members, Dr Pervaiz Ahmed, Prof Zakir Hussain, Prof Khalid Sajad, Prof Parvana Bhat, Prof Mandeep Kour, Prof Ganesh Dutt, Proff Bindu Sharma, Jatinder Bakshi, Mohd Iqbal other staff members of the college and prominent members of the civil society.
Dr Chander Mohan and Prof Parwana Bhat conducted the proceedings of the programme.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Chander Mohan.
