AMCCC submits memorandum to Director Home

JAMMU, Dec 7: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) has urged the Union Government to issue the directives to all units in J&K concerned with formation of Aadhar Cards to expedite the process so that the migrants can attach the copies of the same with relevant documents needed by relief organization.
In a memorandum submitted to Director Home Incharge J&K Affairs, S C Karol, AMCCC said that migrants putting up in Jammu have been put to a lot of trouble after the recent circular issued by Relief Organization demanding to fill up forms by December 15 and attach the same with relevant documents including photostat of Aadhar Card and PAN Card. It said maximum migrants especially camp holders do not possess the Aadhar Card as no headway was made in this regard by the concerned organization. Besides, the PAN Card is also not available with every migrant.
The memorandum also urged the Home Ministry to confirm whether PAN Card is mandatory or not. The memorandum alleged that for 27 years the KPs are leading an exiled life and their life has become miserable as instead of solving their genuine demands the authorities are creating problems for them in one way or the other.
It is a pity that after about three decades the Government has failed to restore their homeland to them. The memorandum also demanded that the employees of the community who are idle be absorbed in Relief Organization.
