State Govt adopting anti- farmer policies: Saroori

KISHTWAR,  Dec 7:   Senior PCC leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohd Saroori today termed PDP-BJP Coalition Government  as “apathetic and incompetent”, and charged the ruling parties with indulging in “juvenile pranks” and neglecting the people and their problems.
Addressing a public meeting of Dramni Nali area in tehsil Bunjwah today, the Congress MLA  said that State Govt failed to provide people with the basic amenities and infrastructure required for catering to their daily problems and woes like electricity and supply of drinking water and adding that Govt had failed to fulfil its basic responsibilities and their claims of solving the problems of the people had fallen flat.
Seeking to remind PDP-BJP of their duties in providing basic amenities to the people, Saroori asked the Government to focus on the problems of water, electricity and health care, besides providing rations to the people in time.
Saroori accused the PDP-BJP Government in the State of adopting “anti-farmer” policies which led to their woes. He said that the present Centre and State Governments promised farmers that the support price of their yields will be increased by 50% and the same is also incorporated in their election manifesto. He said that the BJP Government has come to power and more than two years have elapsed but they didn’t fulfil their promises.
“Despite the announcement made by the State Govt of waiver on 50% Kissan Credit Card (KCC) loans, in the Budget Session last year, the department has, however, so far given no such waiver, “Saroori added.
The MLA said that special camps for preparing NPR Aadhar Cards will be held for the left out population in the area shortly. Mobile van will  facilities to capture the biometrics, on the spot. He also referred to condition of Dunadi- Bunjwah road and said that Rs 1.28 crore tender was issued by the JKPCC in  August  and work will start soon.
Later, Saroori also held a meeting with 8 RR officers in Bunjwah  and paid visit to PHC Nali, Bunjwah.
