Ajaz seeks adequate supply of essentials, health care facilities

POONCH, Nov 12: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference delegation led by YNC Provincial president Ajaz Jan today met Deputy Commissioner, Poonch and presented a memorandum demanding adequate stock of essentials in view of the forthcoming winter months.
The NC delegation, comprising of Panchs and Sarpanchs, apprised the DC about the problems being faced by the people of the district.
Jan urged the Deputy Commissioner to pass on necessary instructions to district officers with regard to food supplies, LPG stocks, health care facilities in the district. He said that in view of the onset of winter season the district administration must keep its men and machinery on alert before the snowfall.
He also raised serious concern over shortage of doctors in Poonch district. He demanded that all the posts of doctors as well as para medics should be filled immediately so that the said appointees join the vacant posts at the earliest.
Jan also raised serious concern over the dilapidated condition of roads across the district and requested the Deputy Commissioner to ensure the blacktopping of roads. He also demanded that blocked roads across the district be cleared on priority basis so that people do not suffer on this count.
The Deputy Commissioner Poonch gave a patient hearing to the delegation members and assured Ajaz Jan of taking due care of the problems and issues highlighted by them.
