JAMMU, Nov 28: A meeting of All India JK Bank Officers’ Federation was held, here today under the leadership of president of the Federation, Kapil Nanda to deliberate on the issues of employees.
The office bearers from all over India participated in the meeting and discussed the deteriorating working environment in the bank due to adopted practices. The discussion highlighted the impact of this environment on diminishing morale of the employees and failure of the Bank Management to address this issue.
One of the reasons emerged in the discussion being the lack of effective communication which has resulted in misinterpretation and misunderstandings causing frustration among employees and leading to decline of overall productivity of the individuals. The Federation expressed its anguish and deep concerns regarding rampant indifferent attitude to genuine problems/aspirations of staff which has led to feelings of harassment in the workplace.
It was resolved that the whole federation stands united in urging the Management of the Bank to prioritize transparency in communication and professional development opportunities for all staff members without any bias. “Addressing the concerns expressed by the Federation will not only benefit the dedicated workforce but also bring renewed confidence to all stakeholders including the dedicated customers,” the members observed.
The Meeting unanimously passed a resolution presented by general secretary of the Federation Riyaz Ahmed Bhat, to take forward the ongoing agitation programme devised by the Federation office. “The decision to intensify the programme will start by holding of centralized demonstrations at Jammu and Srinagar to highlight the concerns besides notifying all the stakeholders regarding ongoing developments in the Bank which is likely to bring industrial unrest for which the Federation cannot be held responsible afterwards,” the Meeting observed.
