AIBCU’s appeal to BJP

JAMMU, Nov 1: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in its meeting here today has appealed the BJP leadership to incorporate the demand regarding grant of 27 percent reservations to OBCs in the State in its poll manifesto.
The meeting said that BJP during the Lok Sabha poll and after it has come with statement that Party highly favours grant of reservations to OBCs in the State as per the recommendations of Mandal Commission.
The meeting said that AIBCU has already written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National president, Amit Shah, Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, Party State president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and BJP incharge for J&K Avinash Rai Khanna. It said a copy of memorandum was also given to Mr Khanna in this regard recently.
The meeting expressed the hope that BJP will come to the expectations of OBC community in the State by incorporating the demand in its poll manifesto.
Prof Kali Dass, Sandokh Chand, Abdul Qadir Dhobi, Abdul Rashid Malik and others were present in the meeting.
