JAMMU, Apr 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered the placement of Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Smt. Nayeema Firdous as Incharge Executive Engineer in the Jal Shakti Department as a temporary stop-gap arrangement.
As per Government Order No. 69-JK(JSD) of 2026 dated April 17, sanction has been accorded to her placement as Executive Engineer on an incharge basis to address administrative requirements.
The order states that the arrangement is purely temporary and aimed at meeting administrative exigencies, and shall not confer any preferential right on the officer to claim regular promotion to the post.
It further clarifies that the placement shall remain subject to the superior claim of any eligible officer, if found genuine or as per the outcome of any pending legal proceedings before the competent court.
The government also stated that in case the requirement ceases or deputed officers are repatriated, the junior-most officer holding the higher charge shall be reverted without any entitlement to continue on the post.
Consequent upon the placement, Smt. Nayeema Firdous has been posted as Incharge Executive Engineer in the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC) and has been directed to assume charge of her new assignment forthwith. (KNC)
