JAMMU, June 2: Police displayed acts of honesty by handing over the lost bags to their owners.
As per police sources, in a rare act of honesty, SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar handed over a lost bag to its owner Tamana Devi, daughter of Gurdass Bhutiyal of Rajgarh, which was found by a Constable.
The bag found by Constable Naseer Ahmed contained Rs 3,500 cash, jewellary and ATM Card. The cop handed over the bag to District Police Chief and after tracing the owner, it was handed over to her.
SSP Ramban awarded cash reward and Commendation Certificate to the Constable for his honesty.
Meanwhile, Nawabad police led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra also displayed act of honesty by handing over a missing bag containing Rs 7,000, qualification documents, books, clothes and others personal belongings to its owner namely Randir Singh, son of Faquir Chand of Kanthi Arnas, Mahore, Reasi.
The owner of the bag is a student and came to Jammu for the first time to fill improvement form at J&K State Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
