Acid attack

Sir,
Our country is becoming an epitome of crime, and the sad thing is that women are turning out to be the worst hit. Acid attacks are not just physically painful, they scar the victim for an eternity. You just don’t throw acid on someone, you throw away their dreams, their happiness and their entire lives. The piercing gaze of the society never leaves the victim which keeps reminding her of her painful past. Her entire life gets filled with darkness.
I don’t know why we women are not safe in this growing and developing universe. As a woman, we are not safe on the empty lanes in a big city. We feel scanned through in the crowded market of our neighbourhood. Therefore, one doesn’t feel at home anywhere.
Why its so easy for a common man to buy these acids and so cheap as it costs only 20-30 bucks. Atleast the grocers should monitor that these acids are not going in  evil hands and moreover these acids should be diluted so as only to clean bathrooms rather than those concentrated forms. I just want to know and ask Government that despite  so many acid attacks on women where acid is used as so deadly weapon against women, why there is no regulation and no monitoring system put in place to control sale and procurement of these acids which are got so easily for grocer. If for buying the AK 47 rifle we have to keep our licence then why not for these acids which are so dreadful and ruin the dreams and life of women. And I request Government to untie their hands and take some steps against these attackers as well as those who are selling them without a licence.
Yours etc……
