Udhampur/Kathua, June 17: Amateur Cricket Club (ACC) Udhampur and Stadium XI Kathua registered resounding wins over their rivals in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of Members of the JKCA Member of Committee Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at Subash Stadium Udhampur and Sports Stadium Kathua.
At Subash Stadium Udhampur, ACC defeated Kalhar Cricket Club by a margin of 53 runs.
Batting first, ACC scored 179 runs in the stipulated overs. Rishav top scored with 46 runs, while Binny, Sunil Kumar and Ashank contributed 35, 26 and 24 runs to the total respectively. For KCC, Ganesh Sharma and Rahul Khajuria took 3 wickets, while Manish claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, KCC bundled out for 126 runs in 22.4 overs, thus lost the match by 53 runs. Sanjay Kumar scored magnificent 51 runs, while Ganesh Sharma contributed 33 runs to the total. Nipun Sharma and Sunil Kumar bagged 4 wickets each, while Balwan Singh claimed one. Sunil Kumar of ACC was declared as the man of the match.
At Sports Stadium Kathua, Stadium XI thrashed CMC Basohli by 66 runs. Batting first, Stadium XI scored 261 runs in 30 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Kamalpreet Singh top scored with 82 runs, while Mayank contributed valuable 52 runs. Arvind also contributed 39 runs to the total. For CMC Kathua, Yashpal took 2 wickets, while Anirudh, Yudhveer, Yuvraj and Vishav shared one wicket apiece.
In reply, CMC Basohli managed to score 195 runs to lose the match by 66 runs. Muzamil top scored with 68 runs, while Yuvraj contributed 22 runs to the total. Nihal and Mayank took 3 wickets each for Stadium XI, while Archit and Arvind bagged 2 wickets each.
The matches are being held under the patronage of Administrators of JKCA namely Justice CK Prasad and Justice Rifat Alam, while AH Bukhari, CEO JKCA is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
