JAMMU, June 17: Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri produced chargesheet against Roshan Lal son of Harbans Lal of Chakli Siot, Tehsil Sunderbani presently at Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu, then Junior Assistant, Storekeeper, FCS&CA Department Rajouri (now Tehsil Supply Officer) before Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Rajouri in case FIR No.10/2012 under Section 5(1) (c) (d) r/w section 5(2) of J&K PC Act and Section 409 RPC registered in P/S VOJ (now ACB).
The instant case is the outcome of Joint Surprise Check (JSC) conducted on the allegations of misappropriation of huge quantity of ration of different categories meant for public of Tehsil Rajouri including empty gunny bags by Roshan Lal who was then posted as storekeeper in food store FCS&CA Department Rajouri, causing loss to the state exchequer to the tune of Rs 15,03,101.
During the course of investigation, it was established that the accused person then posted as Store Keeper in FCS&CA Department by misuse and abuse of his official position misappropriated huge quantity of food grain and gunny bags.
After completing the investigation of case, sanction for launching of prosecution of the accused was also obtained from the competent authority. Accordingly, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Rajouri produced charge sheet against Roshan Lal, son of Harbans Lal of Chakli Siot Tehsil Sunderbani presently at Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu, then Junior Assistant /Storekeeper, FCS&CA Department Rajouri (now Tehsil Supply Officer) before Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court Rajouri on June 16.
The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for August 17 this year.
