JAMMU, Sept 23: Academic session of the one year Post-Graduation course in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) began at Jammu University (JU) campus, here last evening.
The students enrolled in the course attended the class at IGNOU Centre of JU Campus. The training session will last till October 13.
During the session, theoretical and practical aspect of both print and electronic media will be imparted by the experts in the field.
Senior officials of IGNOU were also present at the inaugural session who underlined the importance of various courses for which quality study material is provided to each student followed by counseling session in the distant education mode.
Academic Counselor, OP Sharma, delivered the inaugural lecture and emphasized the need for skill development and practical orientation during the training course.
