JAMMU, Dec 19: The Jammu University unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) led by its convener Lokinder Singh met JKSSB Chairman Dev Lata.
The delegation demanded to postpone the exam of SSB to be held on December 26 or change the examination venues of students, who are going to appear for NET exam scheduled to be held on December 27.
While speaking, Lokinder Singh said that many candidates have already applied for NET exam to be held on December 27 and it is next to impossible for these candidates to appear in the NET examination centres at Jammu and Srinagar after appearing in SSB examination on December 26.
He said that how JKSSB aspirants who are allotted venues like Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Ganderbal, etc will come to Jammu or Srinagar the very next day for NET exam.
Dev Lata assured the delegation that for the sake and interest of student community, JKSSB will change the examination venues of those aspirants who have applied for NET exam. She said that hopefully by Monday, a notification will be issued on JKSSB site regarding changing the venues of NET students once they provide the verification proof of NET exam.
She also assured the delegation that JKSSB with collaboration of District administration will leave no stone unturned to conduct free and fare exam at each venue with proper invigilation.
