ABVP asks NTA to allot J&K students CUET centres within UT

JAMMU, June 3: Expressing serious concern over the difficulties being faced by the students, who have been allotted Centers of CUET outside the Union Territory, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad has demanded that the CUET centers should be kept within the UT.
While addressing a press conference, here today, ABVP National Secretary Mustafa Ali and State Secretary Akshi Billowaria stressed that the National Testing Agency must accommodate all the J&K students in the CUET centres within the UT.

They also drew attention towards the difficulties being faced by the students due to non-availability of teachers. “Teachers have not been appointed in Jammu Kashmir for the last few years and students are facing many problems due to the disengagement of contractual teachers also,” he explained and demanded that contractual arrangement must be continued till appointment of permanent teachers.
The ABVP also informed that the recently held National Executive Council meeting in Pune adopted four resolutions.
“After a fruitful discussion during the meeting, the National Executive Council adopted four resolutions, which include; ‘State Government and Universities must pay attention to the quality of education’; `Campus to become the centre of Happy and Meaningful student life’; `Move forward to build a “SWA” based systems’ and `The youth must defeat the global conspiracy against India’,” said Akshi Billowaria.
In this Press Conference State Joint Secretary Chahat Anand and State Media Incharge Ramnik Sharma were also present.
