JAMMU, May 12: Akhnoor Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last six years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station conducted raid at Bajalta and arrested the absconder.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR No. 11/ 2007 at Akhnoor police station, he added.
The absconder identified as Neeraj Kumar, son of Bal Krishan of Ward No 11, Akhnoor, was involved in a theft case, he said.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohd Bhat.
