JAMMU, May 14: Police here in RS Pura area today claimed they have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past four years in a case registered at Police Station Chanderkote in Ramban district.
The accused, Bagh Ali, a resident of Sunderpur, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, was wanted in case FIR number 79/2022 under sections 307, 427, 34 IPC and 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act at registered at Police Station Chanderkote, a police official said.
But the accused had been constantly evading his arrest, he said.
According to the police official, the Sessions Court Ramban had issued a warrant against the accused under section 512 CrPC.
Acting on credible intelligence, he said a team of Police Station RS Pura launched a strategic operation today and executed the warrant with the arrest of the accused.
Post his arrest, the concerned team of Police Station Chanderkote has been informed telephonically for further necessary legal proceedings, added the police official.
