RAJOURI, May 14: The police seized three vehicles loaded with bovine animals in Rajouri area last night.
Reports said the police under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajouri, continued its sustained crackdown on the bovine smuggling in the district. During last night multiple naka points were established across Rajouri to intercept bovine smuggling.
During the drive police teams led by SHO Rajouri intercepted three vehicles- Tata Mobiles bearing registration Nos. JK02AW-0489; JK02AP-1957 and without number plate Tata Mobile having Chassis No. ZN2CAA1C27901.
In this connection three separate cases bearing FIR No. 241/2026, 242/2026 and 243/2026 have been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Rajouri and further investigation is underway. The police did not disclose the identity of the smugglers/ vehicle drivers, for the reason best known to them.
