SRINAGAR, Mar 13: Police today said it recovered an abducted girl and arrested accused involved in the crime in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said police received a complaint from one person (name withheld) that his daughter was kidnapped by one person namely Bilal Ahmad Dar, a resident of Halpora Vailoo village of Kokernag in Anantnag district.
“On receiving this information, a report was lodged and investigation set into motion. After strenuous efforts, police recovered the abducted girl and arrested the accused from Halpora Vailoo village. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents,” he said.
The police spokesman said a case under FIR number 10/2017 under section 363/RPC was registered against the accused.
