AAP launches protest over shifting of AIIMS

JAMMU, May 16: A strong protest was launched by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Jewel area of Jammu against shifting of AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir.
The protest was held under the leadership of AAP State president, Vipan Nischal. While addressing the AAP activists, he said that AAP Jammu is not against the opening of such kind of medical institute in Kashmir but wants only that the AIIMS should be opened in a centralized place of J&K so that every immediate citizen/patient of J&K and surrounding states should easily avail the medical facility.
He requested the people of Jammu province to come forward and unite for this common cause.
The AAP leaders said that if AIIMS would be open in Jammu the business of hotel industries, auto riksha, taxi, and medical industries will automatically grow and in the way the financial status of Jammu will automatically improve and unemployment among youth will reduce.
The party leaders stressed that the decision for opening of AIIMS in Jammu be immediately taken by the Central Government and the people of Jammu should be taken in confidence before the implementation of any such decision of opening of AIIMS in Jammu.
