Equitable development of all regions priority of Govt: Kohli

RAJOURI, May 16: Saying that unity, solidarity, communal amity and equitable development of all regions and sub regions of the State  is the basic agenda of  Coalition Government, Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli  today sought people’s cooperation to strengthen the present regime.
He said the pro-people policies of the Government have helped win the trust of the people and the present Government is doing a great job in heralding peace, prosperity and development in the state which has been well recognized by the people from every region.
The Minister said this while interacting with people during his extensive tour of the district. He was accompanied by senior BJP leader Ch. Talib Hussain and MLC Vibodh Gupta.
Addressing various gatherings, Kohli said the coalition Government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is aware of people’s problems and is making all efforts to fulfill their demands on priority. He reiterated the commitment of the Coalition Government to ensure holistic development of all the regions of the state with special focus on remote, far-flung and rural areas. He said the State is on the path of peace, progress and development under this regime.
Mr. Kohli vowed to keep his commitment of meeting developmental aspirations of the people of district Rajouri with best of his capabilities.
Ch. Talib Hussain said a new chapter of development and prosperity has begun in the State and present coalition has the commitment as well as potential to bring about the change. The main motive of Coalition Government is to serve the nation and society.
Meanwhile, the locals of the area demanded establishment of PHC at Thannamandi, fare fixation from Rajouri to Srinagar via Mughal road, arrangements of sanitation, availability of transport facilities, problem of over loading, supply of uninterrupted drinking water and power supply and macadamization of roads seeking an early redressal of the same.
While responding to the demands, Mr.Kohli approved deployment of SRTC buses on Jammu-Shadhra Sharief route and emphasized for greater liaison between the people and the administration for accelerating pace of development in Rajouri.
Responding to the demand for Sub District Hospital at Thannamandi, the Minister assured to take up the matter with the concerned Minister.
