AAP concerned over rising cases of dengue in Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 6: Aam Aadmi Party in Jammu and Kashmir has expressed serious concern over rising cases of dengue in Jammu and advised Government to gear up for preventive measures and specific treatment for patients of Dengue in hospitals.
In a press statement, Aam Aadmi Party said that cases of dengue are on rise in Jammu with 6048 infected cases reported so far and over a dozen deaths which shows that situation is not good by anyhow and things are getting grim.
“Dengue is a serious health issue as it causes sudden drop of both blood platelets and WBCs causing panic like state and such patients need immediate medical aid.” AAP said adding that proper medical aid and treatment is urgent for such patients.
We appeal Jammu and Kashmir Government to ensure that all preventive measures are taken up for dengue infection and fumigation is ensured in proper manner instead of fumigation of publicity that is done with publicity.
“Fumigation is not satisfactory and Government should ensure that proper fumigation is done as Government is acting in a callous manner creating serious situation of dengue,” AAP stated.
It further mentioned that Government should ensure proper healthcare facilities of patients and there should be designated dengue wards in every secondary and tertiary care hospital so that a dengue patients gets immediate care and treatment after reaching hospital which however is not there.
Aam Aadmi Party also condoled demise of member of Youth Wing and Youth Secretary of Samba District, Neeraj Kundal who passed away due to dengue.
