JAMMU, June 12: Kanak Mandi Traders Association (KMTA) has donated Rs 1.31 lakh in favour of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund to fight against Coronavirus pandemic.
Anoop Mittal President KMTA handed over the cheque to J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina and Ashok Koul BJP Gen Secretary (Org) and former Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta in the presence of Deputy Mayor JMC Advocate Purnima Sharma, BJP State Executive Member Sanjay Mahey and BJP District Press Secretary Manav Mahajan here today.
Ravinder Raina said that society is indebted to such noble acts as the whole world is reeling under the pressure to combat ill effects of COVID-19 pandemic. He said that this contribution means a lot in this valuable time and requested others to follow the same suit. He asserted that such contribution will strengthen the effort of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to combat the ill effects of Coronavirus pandemic.
Ashok Koul said that trouble has erupted across the world due to Coronavirus spread and it is the duty of every person to pay back to the society. In these days, every capable person must contribute according to his or her strength, he added.
Rajesh Gupta, Advocate Purnima Sharma and Anoop Mittal also expressed their views.
All the office bearers of KMTA including General Secretary Ashish Gupta, Vipin Gupta, Nikhil Gupta, Rajesh Vaid, Atul Jain, Rajesh Kailoo and Vikas Gupta were present.
