JAMMU, Nov 8: A 21-year-old youth was killed last night in a road accident in Bhalwal area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the youth identified as Aman Sharma son of Ravi Sharma, resident of Purkhoo, received serious head injuries when a scooty he was riding, rammed into a road side pole at Kanger Morh.
He said that the injured youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
“After postmortem, the body of the deceased was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Gharota and investigations started”, the official added.
